This product bulletin announces
support for NearStore personality license with NetApp V-Series Virtualization
Controllers. 2.
What’s New NearStore
personality license (NSPL) support with V-Series has been added to Data
ONTAP® 7.2.2. This will scale the number of concurrent SnapMirror® and
/SnapVault® replication streams of V-Series to the same level as the
equivalent FAS model. ASIS support with V-Series is not included, but will be added in a later Data ONTAP release. 3.

Software Subscription Plans It is highly recommended that customers purchase an SSP
for the NearStore personality license. The NearStore personality license is
part of the NetApp SupportEdge Services program. Quoting NearStore
personality license for V-Series is a selectable option on the applicable
V-Series platform software tab. Product Availability NearStore personality license
for V-Series will be available to quote with the May 2007 Quote Tool release. Standard software
